What Is SycoFox Studios?

With self publishing both fiction and non-fiction, custom chainmail jewelry and accessories, as well as laser etchings, and landscape paintings, I had plans to create a business where I could create things for people which showcase the beauty that I see in everyday life.

Now, I've been writing as a hobby for over 20 years which—at the time of writing this—accounts for about two thirds of my life. When I began working in a CNC machine shop not far from where I grew up, one of the machines that I learned to use had a curious break in the safety glass an a shape I could only describe as I could only describe as a cartoon fox looking over his shoulder as he ran away from something, giving his pursuer a rather psychotic toothy grin, as though taunting him.

While I can't say that anyone else would have seen this shape the way I had—after all the breaks in the glass had been there before I started working there, and it was a couple of years before I noticed—I can say that when the part of my mind that comes up with stories about even the most mundane things realized what I was looking at, Syco was born.
So what exactly is SycoFox Studios? It's essentially a figment of my imagination brought to reality.

Starting with laser etchings that I did for other artists, it quickly snowballed into an umbrella company for all of my creative works.
Today SFS offers a much wider variety of product and services than I had anticipated, in an effort to serve a wider audience, and to bring awareness to the potential for other people—many of whom are disregarded by their peers—to be better than society has deemed them, and to do things no one thought they could.

As Red Skelton once said, "I believe we all put here for a purpose, and that is to build, not to destroy," and SycoFox Studios—in my eyes—is meant to help show that anyone can build the future they want.
